Hi, I’m Kate, And This All Started With a Shirt

I’m a cartoon artist by day, competitive breaststroker by morning, and a book-loving cat lady by night. Oh—and the founder of Lane Line Threads.

I started this brand because I couldn’t find swim shirts that actually felt like me. So I made them. Now I make them for you, too.

It’s More Than a Shirt

Lane Line Threads is for swimmers who don’t need to explain the smell of chlorine on everything.

It’s for the ones who secretly love early mornings, cracked goggles, and the sound of a flipturn.

These shirts are little nods—to lane mates, long sets, and the joy of being in your element.

When someone sees your shirt and smiles, you’ll know: they’re one of us.

Slow, Ethical Fashion

  • Built to Last, Not Just to Wear: We make apparel you’ll want to live in—soft, sturdy, and ready to survive hundreds of wash cycles (and probably a few swim meets too)
  • Made by Humans, Treated Like Humans: Every piece of our clothing is produced in facilities that pay fair wages and keep workers safe, because feeling good about your shirt starts with knowing who made it
  • Less Stuff, More Meaning: Buy what you love, wear it often, and take care of it
  • No Secrets Here: From farm to print shop to your front door, we believe you deserve to know where your clothes come from
