Follow our care guide to keep your organic headwear looking fresh, season after season

Washing:

  • Hand Wash: Fill a sink with cool water and add a small amount of mild detergent.
  • Soak: Submerge the hat and gently agitate the water.
  • Spot Clean: Use a soft brush or cloth to gently scrub any soiled areas.
  • Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with fresh water until all detergent is removed.
  • Air Dry: Pat the hat dry with a towel and reshape it before letting it air dry completely.

Drying:

  • Air Dry Only: Avoid using a machine dryer, as it can damage the hat.
  • Reshape: Reshape the hat while it's drying to help it maintain its original form.

Other Tips:

  • Spot Cleaning: For oily stains, try sprinkling cornstarch or talcum powder on the stain, letting it sit, and then brushing it away.
  • Storage: Store the hat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and damage.

Find out how your order will be packed

At Lane Line Threads, we take care of your gear—and the planet it depends on.

Every order is thoughtfully packed to arrive safely and sustainably, using the most eco-friendly materials available in each region.

For our North American swimmers, we’ve made the switch to poly mailers made with 90–100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic.

Single-item orders are shipped directly in the mailer, while multi-item orders include an inner protective bag for added care.

In Australia, we proudly ship using compostable eco-mailers.

For Japan and China, we currently use standard mailers while we continue searching for greener local solutions.

Our goal is simple: reduce environmental impact while keeping your gear secure and ready for action.

Because sustainability doesn’t stop at the pool’s edge—it’s in every detail, right down to the packaging.

White organic bucket hat for swimmers on a white background

Organic cotton: no harsh chemicals, no itch

Certified comfy: GOTS organic cotton + OEKO-TEX Standard 100 fabric you can feel good about

Hot pool decks, long meets, and blazing summer sun — swimmers know the heat is real.

Our organic cotton headwear is naturally breathable and moisture-absorbing, keeping your head cool and comfortable without that sticky polyester sweat-trap feeling.

Unlike synthetic caps, our natural fibers are gentle for sensitive skin and scalps—no harsh chemicals, no itch, just soft, ocean-kind comfort in every thread.

It’s the difference between “ugh, get this off me” and “yep, I could wear this all day.”

Shade that doesn’t turn your head into a sauna

Classic brim and high profile

With a classic brim and high profile, our organic bucket hats shade your face, ears, and neck from reflected pool glare and open water sun, helping you avoid burns and keep cool by the deck or between heats.

So, you can focus on the swimmers in the water or the snack table at the meet.

For when your poolside life is messy, splashy, and full of drama

Swim. Sun. Throw. Repeat. Durability That Lasts.

Serious swimmers need gear that keeps up—and looks good doing it.

That’s why Lane Line Threads’ organic cotton bucket hats are crafted for maximum durability.

The secret? Sturdy organic cotton twill, proven for its strength, shape-retention, and resistance to wear (no matter how many poolside tosses or quick-dry routines you run them through).

These hats are born for busy laps and adventure—built to survive hundreds of wears, stashed in your swim bag, and thrown on between sets.

One hat. Endless laps. Zero guilt. No chemicals. No itch.

Grab it, stash it, splash it! Built for swimmers, approved by the planet.

Why Organic Cotton Headwear Beats Basic Hats — Especially for Swimmers?

We knew you’d ask.

Sun Protection That Breathes — Not Bakes

Swimmers spend hours under the sun — whether it is poolside meets or open water training.

Our organic cotton bucket hats offer shade without the sweat.

Unlike synthetic hats packed with harsh chemicals and microplastics that trap heat, organic cotton is breathable and lightweight, keeping your head cool while protecting your face.

It’s sun-smart comfort for swimmers who’ve had enough of the post-practice sunburn shuffle.

Gentle on Hair and Skin - so your hat feels good, looks good, and actually lasts through seasons of poolside living.

Chlorine, saltwater, and sun can leave skin feeling raw.

The last thing swimmers need is a scratchy, chemical-laced hat rubbing against their forehead.

Lane Line Threads’ organic cotton headwear is naturally soft, hypoallergenic, and free from toxic dyes — making it the perfect post-swim accessory for sensitive skin.

Plus, it’s built to last through seasons of wear, wash, and wander.

Eco-Friendly Style That Speaks Volumes

Yes, organic cotton costs more to grow and make, but here’s what you get: less water waste, no toxic pesticides, and gear you can feel proud wearing.

Choosing organic swim headwear means you’re protecting more than your face from the sun — you’re helping protect the oceans you swim in.

Swim Easy. Live Greener

Every Lane Line Threads piece you wear helps reduce ocean pollution, support sustainable farming, and keep your skin happy.

Because when swimmers design clothes, they think about the water—and the people in it.
